Telehealth and Telecare

A series of informational films for Carers Scotland, distributed on DVD and online.

Client: Carers Scotland

We produced a series of films for Carers Scotland on Telehealth and Telecare, to empower carers and influence policy-makers, service-providers and employers. Powerful personal narratives are key to the films, which were edited into different formats for distribution to audiences in a number of ways.

First, we made two 20-minute documentary films.   Telecare: A Weight off my Mind demonstrates how cutting-edge technology can support people to live independently in their own homes; this film was first screened on the IMAX at Glasgow Science Centre, opening a Telecare conference ahead of the keynote address by Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon. Telehealth – Transforming Lives explores the different technologies that can support people with medical conditions in the community.

We also broke these longer films down into ten separate video case studies which are available as Telehealthcare: A Training Toolkit, distributed to health and social care professionals online via Carers UK and the Scottish Centre for Telehealth and Telecare.

"They have attracted high praise from professionals and public alike."
